  • June 2004— Property purchased with Trinity English Foundation funding the acquisition costs.
  • through May 2005—Indiana Research telephone surveys and focus groups includes community surrounding Trinity.
  • May 2005—Leadership Analysis
  • June 2005—Mission discernment process begins, exploring “What is God calling Trinity to do?”
  • Summer 2005—Parish Hall meetings (over 200 participants and over 530 ideas captured from small-group discussions) and Congregational Survey (307 survey respondents).
  • Fall 2005—Steering committee formed to oversee and facilitate strategic planning and mission discernment processes.
  • June 2006—Written plan presented at Congregational Meeting.
  • June 2006-2007—Committees further develop goals and action steps to “build commitment and community in Christ.”
  • June 2007—Updated goals and action steps presented at Congregational Mtg., including detail of proposed site improvement plan by House Committee.
  • June 2007—Council approval for Finance and House Committees to do preliminary work and site evaluations.
  • July 2007—Finance, Stewardship, Finance Advisory, and Capital Campaign Committees meet jointly to explore securing a consulting firm to prepare for capital campaign.
  • Summer/Fall 2007—House Committee continues detailed presentations to various congregational groups for discussion and feedback, including one at Septemberfest.
  • Oct 2007—Larry Armentrout, Generis, LLC, hired as capital campaign consultant.
  • Nov 2007—Leadership Cabinet and Executive Committee formed. Mark Hagerman agrees to be Executive Director.
  • Dec 2007—Trinity English Foundation agrees to underwrite expenses related to the “Seeds of Faith” capital campaign. The Foundation funded the acquisition cost of the property, bringing their total funding commitment to the project to approximately $1 million.
  • Dec 2007—Steering Committee enlisting begins, with “asks” going out in early January 2008.
  • Jan 2008—Council approves the expansion building project contingent upon receiving sufficient funding and approves the hiring of Martin Riley as architect of the project.
  • Jan 2008—Steering Committee candidate briefing meeting held.
  • Jan 2008—Campaign calendar and phases set.
  • Feb 2008—A well contractor will be drilling a “test” well beginning the first week in March. This first well will help provide size, depth and flow data needed for improvements or the design of a new system.
  • Feb/Mar 2008 — Four-week adventure in spiritual discovery, enlightenment, and enchantment for all ages begins to help grow a deeper understanding of Biblical stewardship. Directed by Pastor Daniel Hamlin (adult series), Chad McKenna and Mitch McGinnis (youth) and Sunday School at 9:00 and 11:00.
  • March 2008 — "Seeds of Faith" website debuts — SeedsOfFaith.TrinityEnglish.org or access through link on www.TrinityEnglish.org.
  • March 2008 — Month-long prayer calendar, created by members of Trinity under guidance from the Spiritual Awareness Team, is made available to Trinity members to help all seek God's daily guidance through prayer during campaign process.
  • March 2008 — Kiosk and information center debuts.
  • April 2008 — "Seeds of Faith" banner debuts. Special thanks to Sue Foreman and the Trinity Stitchers for their beautiful handiwork in creating this piece.
  • April 2008 — April Awareness Presentation Packet presented at all services on Thursday, April 10 and Sunday, April 13, 2008. Children help Trinity Council president Pat Pasterick present as part of the children's sermon at the Sunday 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services. Continuous Prayer Vigil, April 20, 2008.   • May 2008 — “A Day of New Beginnings” May 4, 2008, Worship Service and May Music Festival, Celebration Dinner, Spoon River Anthology
  • May 19, 2008 — Trinity English Lutheran Church Foundation Board of Directors and Finance Committee made recommendations to Council to proceed with proposed site improvements. Church Council unanimously voted to proceed with proposed building project.
